Sentinel - Client Portal for Contractors, PTO and Invoices

Overview

Sentinel is the client portal behind DHDTech.io's nearshore engagements: one place to see contractor pay, PTO and invoices. Clients get the full picture of their team — who is on it, what it costs and what has been invoiced — instead of reconciling spreadsheets and email threads.

The Challenge

Teams scaling a nearshore engineering crew were reconciling contractor pay, PTO balances and invoices across spreadsheets and email. There was no single source of truth for what the team actually cost, and no way to check it without asking.

The Solution

We built Sentinel as a React client portal on a Django API, sharing one component library — the DHDTech.io design system, with Storybook — and a dark-only brutalist-void interface. Contractors, PTO and invoices are modelled server-side and rendered against real API data, so what is on screen is what is in the ledger.
